Join us and become our new Project Developer in our department for offshore wind farm projects in Germany and the Netherlands. The department is part of Renewables, a large business area with 250 employees.

You will join one of the leading energy companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and up to 15 per cent of our power is produced from renewable resources. Our business is based on producing, distributing and trading energy and related products in Northern Europe. We are also one of the leading developers of offshore wind in the United Kingdom.

The department is responsible for the generation of a steady flow of project opportunities in our footprint markets and the development towards final investment decisions. The development processes typically last several years and include a wide range of competences from various departments within Renewables and at group level. Being the starting point in the value chain within offshore wind power, the project development processes facilitate and require an overall perspective on the entire industry, including political aspects and technical details, etc.


Until 1 May 2011, you will be based at our office at Teglholmen in Copenhagen, hereafter in Gentofte. However, your work commitment will entail travels to primarily Germany and the Netherlands.


Areas of responsibility

Together with our Country Manager for the German and Dutch market, you will develop wind power projects and identify as well as ensure project opportunities and project rights.


Furthermore, your primary tasks will be to:

  • assist with development of projects in Germany and the Netherlands
  • develop and manage project partnerships until final investment decision
  • prepare business cases for internal gate approval process until final investment decision
  • develop and maintain relationships with regulators and key stakeholders
  • prepare presentations, feasibility studies, internal memos and recommendations.


Your profile

You will have a business or financial background and an appropriate level of experience matching the seniority of the position. Alternatively you will have an engineering background combined with business or financial qualification and experience.


You will also have experience from the wind power industry, from business consulting or similar positions.

Additionally, you will have excellent communication skills and communicate well with colleagues at all organisational levels. You will also speak and write Danish, English and German fluently. It will be advantageous if you also have some knowledge of Dutch.


You will be a dynamic professional capable of finding both constructive and practical solutions to all kinds of strategic and operational challenges.


It is essential that you thrive on working in multi-disciplinary teams. You will have an analytical approach to your work and the talent of presenting and communicating complex matters in a straightforward way. As a proactive player you wish to share your expertise with your colleagues and contribute to both the development and improvement of offshore wind farms.
